These terms govern your use of Iowa Local Guide. By using the service, you agree to use it lawfully and consistently with these terms.
The service
Iowa Local Guide provides business-directory information, editorial guides, account tools, and ways for visitors to contact businesses. A listing is not an endorsement, certification, or guarantee of a business, and we are not the business or its agent merely because it appears here.
Accounts and claims
You must provide accurate information, protect your account, and promptly tell us about unauthorized access. To claim a listing, you must be authorized to act for the business and may submit only information and material you have the right to use. We may request evidence, reject or pause a claim, or restrict access while resolving an ownership or security concern.
Submitted content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide license to host, reproduce, adapt for formatting and accessibility, and display that content as needed to operate and promote the service. You represent that the content is accurate to the best of your knowledge and does not violate another person’s rights.
Acceptable use
Do not impersonate another person or business, submit unlawful or deceptive content, interfere with security, scrape or overload the service in a manner that disrupts it, introduce malicious code, misuse personal information, or use the service to send spam or abusive messages.
Business information and inquiries
Business information can change, and you should confirm important details directly before relying on them. When you send an inquiry, we attempt to deliver it to the selected business but do not guarantee a response, transaction, price, availability, or outcome. Your dealings with a listed business are between you and that business.
Paid services
If you choose a paid service, the price, billing interval, renewal behavior, cancellation method, and any additional terms shown at purchase also apply. Claiming a listing alone does not create a paid subscription.
Availability and enforcement
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may remove content or restrict accounts to protect users, comply with law, enforce these terms, or maintain the service. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Intellectual property and complaints
The service’s design, branding, and original content are protected by applicable law. To report material that you believe violates your rights, email legal@iowalocalguide.com with the affected URL, identification of the work or right involved, your contact information, and a good-faith explanation.
